DSC Everyday STEM Mysteries for Math Teachers, K-8

We will take a look at stories for inquiry-based STEM Teaching using a variety of resources from our STEM Center.  Since sufficient time to puzzle over problems that have some real-life applications is often missing in the mathematics part of STEM curricula, we will take a look at tasks that will engage the learner, allow the learner to communicate and justify their explanations by analyzing and interpreting data so they can apply their new knowledge to new situations, motivate learners to explore real-world geometry, and much more! This professional development includes classroom assistance throughout the year and online and/or follow-up opportunities available upon request.

Important Session Information:

A NEEDS SURVEY WILL BE SENT TO PARTICIPANTS THAT SIGN UP.  Payment needs to go to The STEM Center at Henderson State University, ATTN: Michelle Johnson, 1100 Henderson Street, Box 7663, Henderson St. Arkadelphia, AR  71999.
