CRESC - Professional Learning Communities (PLC) Overview Workshop

This 2-day workshop is an overview of what PLC’s are, their benefits, and how to implement them in a school or district and is being led by Dr. Bill Hall, of Solution Tree. Districts are encouraged to bring a team of three.  Lunch, snacks and the “Learning by Doing” workbook will be provided for participants.

Attendees will understand the three big ideas of PLC’s:
1. Focus on Student Learning
2. Focus on Collaboration
3. Focus on Results

And will develop a common understanding of the four main questions of a PLC:
1. What do we want our students to know? (learning objectives)
2. How will they know if they have learned? (assessment)
3. How will we respond if they have not learned? (intervention)
4. How do we respond if they already know? (differentiation)
