WDMESC: Active Learning Strategies and Classroom Management for the Elementary Classroom
Everyone knows students learn more when they're active and emotionally engaged, but what about the ensuing chaos? In this workshop, teachers will learn how to facilitate enjoyable and meaningful active learning strategies while simultaneously learning classroom management techniques to maintain sanity. Little Rock teaching artist April Gentry-Sutterfield has 16 years of teaching experience at every grade level and in urban and rural schools. During the school year, she works for arts organizations, such as Crystal Bridges and Wildwood Park for the Performing Arts, to create educationally-rich arts-integrated residencies for students across the state. Join April for a workshop that will get you and your students excited about and focused on learning.
