scsc - Choosing the Right Texts for Small Group Reading



Do you go to the school book room and feel overwhelmed? Do you think it is of extreme importance to choose the right books and analyze those texts for small group instruction in your reading groups but not sure how? This event will help teachers be better equipped to choose appropriate material based on a scope and sequence for decoding as well as instruction for instant word recognition.  TESS components addressed for this workshop include:   1A, 3A, and 3C.

Important Session Information:


For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price.
