NWAESC(2095)---Individual and Group Contingencies - Day 1
Student behavior is a significant component of learning that can either contribute to or detract from the success of well-planned lessons and activities. The purpose of this workshop is to provide training on how reinforcement can be used to teach appropriate behaviors, including student engagement, in the school setting. During this workshop, lecture, discussions, and group activities will be utilized to increase participants’ understanding of how individual and group reinforcement interventions can be used to promote positive behaviors. Multiple individual and group reinforcement interventions will be discussed. Real-world examples will be described to illustrate how participants might utilize these reinforcement procedures to address behavior problems in the classroom. At the culmination of the workshop, participants will complete an action plan for implementing an individual or group reinforcement intervention with their own students. This is a two-day training with homework prior to training.
