ARESC-Making Sense of Personalized Learning, Competency Based Education, and Blended Learning....How are they related and what do they mean?
This session provides an overview of three approaches to teaching and learning that are making headlines for innovative practices. These three approaches place the student at the center of teaching and learning. Participants will have an opportunity to learn common vocabulary and understanding to apply in their classroom, building, or district. Participants will be able to: Define and differentiate between personalized learning, competency based education, and blended learning. Describe what each approach may look like at the classroom and school levels. Reflect on how a shift towards each approach could impact a child’s education AND your professional role...and more!
