- The U.S. military has a 98% survival rate for casualties arriving at a treatment facility since the start of the "War on Terror". Innovations such as redesigned tourniquets and hemostatic bandages have helped the military achieve this success rate.
- In addition to natural disaster, the increasing incidence of multiple casualty incidents like Sandy Hook, the Boston Marathon and Paris lends even more urgency to the need to translate these wartime lessons to people in our communities.

In May of 2017, a proposal was presented to the Arkansas Department of Education to help minimize the impact of trauma in our communities.
