ACA 6-22-2204 requires all superintendents, office managers, cooperative directors, and charter school directors to receive an annual 2-hour financial update. This training on school finance and APSCN coding is commonly called Tier I training. The ADE also allows for Tier I annual training to count as Tier 2 training, at the discretion of the local district. An annual 2-hour training, commonly known as Tier 2, is required for other school employees that make decisions about budgeting and/or selecting financial codes. Mike Mertens will provide the 2-hour Tier Training and Legislative Updates 8:30-10:30.
The session directly following Tier I will be led by Will Jones from the Attorney General's Office. Leaders will learn how to instruct their staff and parents to recognize signs indicating human trafficking, dangerous apps, as well as instruction in social media safety. Parental Involvement Credit will be given for this sessions.
