Building Number Sense Through Number Talks: K-3
When a teacher asks me how to develop number sense - my answer is short: NUMBER TALKS. Jo Boaler, Professor of Mathematics Education at Stanford, stresses the importance of this. Together we will explore the why and the how of Number Talks. We will frequently reference the book Number Talks: Helping Children Build Mental Math and Computation Strategies K-6 by Sherry Parrish.
