DSC Developing the Ability to Make Mathematical Arguments (GR7-12)

A key aspect of reasoning and sense making is creating, critiquing and revising mathematical arguments. During this session, participants will consider what this looks like at various grade levels and examine instruction that supports students’ development of these skills.  ACT Aspire’s Justification and Explanation statements will be examined, along with revised exemplars of the ACT Aspire’s constructed response items.
