DSC Breakout of the Library - It's Time For Something Different

Learn how to collaborate with content teachers by using Breakout EDU, lock boxes and puzzles in the library as unit culminating activities.  Breakouts are planned around books the English classes are reading such as Night, Gatsby, Hamlet, Killing Mr. Griffin, and Romeo and Juliet.  Content teachers collaborate on Breakouts for geometry, fractions and even PI Day. History and Science teachers also bring their classes for Breakouts based on unit and event topics.  These breakouts help me as a Librarian connect the library to what is happening in the content classes and the Escape Room style helps engage and excite the students.
