NWAESC(2095)---Teaching to All 3 Learning Domains: Psychomotor, Cognitive, and Affective
Most physical educators are adept at teaching psychomotor (movement) skills. But, how many focus as strongly on the cognitive (mental) and affective (social and emotional) aspects of the lesson? An effective lesson should include all three. Two of the five SHAPE America National Standards address the affective domain. The other three combine the cognitive and psychomotor. This session will demonstrate practical ways to incorporate all three in a lesson.
