NWAESC(2095)---School Nurse Academy



The School Nurse Academy is a one day training presented by Arkansas Children's Hospital. It prepares school nurses to manage complex health issues of Arkansas school children. The content will be on specific disorders, evidence-based practices, and quality improvement. The school nurses will increase their knowledge and skills to better manage acute and chronic conditions in the schools keeping students healthy for academic achievement. Registration will be through the Education Cooperatives in the state. Topics included: Diabetes, Cardiac 101, Tracheostomy Care, and Stop the Bleed Program.
