Participants will better understand what to expect of newcomers and RAELs (Recently Arrived English Learners). Equal emphasis will be on academic implications of the language barrier and challenges the affective filter presents. Presenters will leave with more confidence in welcoming and providing age appropriate instruction for English Learners.
If you are not under contract with the Northeast Arkansas Education Cooperative or one of our 14 member districts, you will be responsible for all fees related to this workshop. The fee for this workshop is $25. Payment is expected the day of the training unless prior arrangements have been made.
