WDMESC: An Hour in the Life of a High School Math Teacher
In this professional development session, we will look at the components that are needed for effective instruction. These topics will include, but are not limited to, fluency development, problems solving, concept development, RTI, formative assessment, and summative assessment. Steps in planning and implementing effective lessons from "the Purposeful Pedagogy and Discourse Model: Student Thinking Matters Most" will be discussed. The "Lesson Study" model will be utilized to evaluate and improve the example lessons.
