DSC Read Aloud to Teach the Standards

Mentor texts are pieces of literature that —both teacher and student—can return to and reread for many different purposes. As educators, we are aware of the strong correlation between good reading skills and good writing skills. In this training learn how to use authors and their words to help focus instruction and create a culture of reading in your classroom. Each person attending this training will receive the book, Igniting a Passion for Reading by Steven Layne
