Coaches Toolkit

This workshop will consist of tools for coaches to use on and off the field/court.  We will discuss Coaching Boys into Men, Athletes as Leaders and Stop the Bleed.  Coaching Boys Into Men(CBIM) is the only evidence-based prevention program that trains and motivates high school coaches to teach their young male athletes healthy relationship skills and that violence never equals strength.  Athletes as Leaders is a program for high school girl sport teams that aims to empower female youth to take an active role in promoting healthy relationships and ending sexual violence.  "Stop the Bleed" is a nationwide campaign to empower individuals to act quickly and save lives.  This training will show additional techniques on how to Stop the Bleed quickly.  Two Stop the Bleed kits will be given as door prizes.  Ellen Garrett is a Community Health Promotion Specialist with ADH.  She has a background of working with athletes from secondary school, college, and professional athletes.
