WDMESC: Harding STEM: Picture Perfect STEM
Engage students in scientific inquiry through the use of carefully selected picture books! This training will support teachers in their quest to blend STEM and literacy. It is designed to increase student understanding of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and support the implementation of Arkansas literacy standards. This day will consist of theory, guided practice and experiencing several lessons. Participants will have the option to receive an instruction book with lessons and classroom follow-up support. TESS components emphasized in this learning include: 2b(Establishing a Culture for Learning); 2c(Managing Classroom Procedures); 3b(Questioning, Prompts, and Discussion Techniques); and 3c(Engaging Students in the Learning).
