OUR Techniques for Promoting Social and Emotional Resilience
Do you find that some of your students struggle with problem solving in the midst of their emotions? What tools do you have to help them learn and grow socially and emotionally? In this training, participants will learn, experience, and practice some techniques they can use to help promote student’s proactive social and emotional skills. Some of these techniques will be based on Kari Dunn Buron’s Incredible 5 Point Scale, Dr. Ross Greene’s Collaborative and Proactive Solutions (CPS), and concepts related to growth mindset. Videos, experiential activities, and reflection will be used to introduce and practice effective responses to and instruction for our students who need our support in this area.
