GFESC - BLENDED: NAVIGATING TEACHING AND LEARNING WITH A CREATIVE DIGITAL LITERACY PLAN FOR THE CLASSROOM/SCHOOL/DISTRICT



Are you unsure or uncomfortable navigating the digital waters with your students? Have you had a bad experience with incorporating digital learning? A comprehensive understanding of the concepts and elements of digital literacy is the first step.  Are you ready to embed digital literacy as a seamless component?  Come and explore digital literacy and build your plan!  This will enable you to construct a blueprint.  Arkansas' Own Team Digital will help you build your digital literacy knowledge with common vocabulary, teach safety guidelines, and strategies to select appropriate tools to locate, analyze, create and communicate digitally.  Participants will be able to:  

  1. Draft a personalized definition of digital literacy
  2. Construct a digital literacy plan
  3. Explain digital safety and security
  4. Utilize digital resources appropriately
  5. Communicate and collaborate in the digital space


Important Session Information:


NO COST TO PDC DISTRICTS.       Lunch will be provided.

Participants are asked to bring their own device & headphones, if possible.  If not, please notify the presenter that you need one provided.

This is a blended P.D.  Three hours will be face-to-face with three hours optional to stay in the afternoon or to leave and complete on your own with a follow-up conference set up with the presenter before you leave.
