NWAESC(2095)---Grades 3-5 Morphology
Designed specifically for Grades 3-5 educators, this module focuses on a systematic, engaging approach aimed at exploring the sound, pattern, and meaning relationships among words. We will focus on morphologybeginning with prefixes and suffixes and then move to Greek and Latin roots. Teachers will learn the most common prefixes, suffixes and Greek and Latin Roots. Schools will be able to look at these common morphology parts and create a systematic alignment so students are able to build vocabulary in these grades in a very meaning way. Teachers will learn how to guide students towards making discoveries about how words work and generalizing their understandings in order to read, spell, and write more efficiently. Required Text: Latin and Greek Roots by Perry D. Stokes Text is included in the price of the PD
