GREC-The Why's and How's of Parental Involvement



Are you experiencing the struggle of getting parents involved in the education of their children?  Are you desperately searching for productive ways to involve the parents?  Well, look no further.  This workshop outlines why it is so important for parents to be actively involved in the education of  their children.  It will also identify some ways to encourage this engagement so that it is beneficial to all parties involved.  You will leave with some resources to help you collaborate with parents to ensure that children have a supportive learning environment at school and at home.

TEACHERS NOT WORKING UNDER CONTRACT WITH THE SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN THE GREAT RIVERS CO-OP AREA WILL BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST.  YOU MAY CONTACT GREAT RIVERS 24-48 HOURS BEFORE THE WORKSHOP TO CHECK FOR AN OPENING.  YOU WILL BE CHARGED A $25.00 FEE PER DAY, $15.00 PER HALF DAY TO ATTEND WORKSHOPS AT GREAT RIVERS.  PLEASE REMEMER THAT IF YOU REGISTER FOR A WORKSHOP AT GREAT RIVERS AND DO NOT ATTEND AND DO NOT CANCEL AHEAD OF TIME, YOUR DISTRICT WILL BE BILLED FOR EACH WORKSHOP YOU FAIL TO ATTEND WITHOUT CANCELING.  IF YOU CAN NOT CANCEL ON LINE PLEASE CALL GREAT RIVERS AT 870-338-6461.
