OUR Motivating All Students: Strategies for creating and maintaining motivation in students and teachers alike
This 1-day workshop is designed to assist all teachers with an understanding of human motivation and equip them with strategies and processes for increasing motivation for themselves and their students. We will investigate forces that influence student motivation to succeed, including motivation for academic performance, extracurricular involvement, graduation, and behavior. Teachers will learn how to regularly and genuinely communicate the “why” of learning to students, and they will also gain greater understanding of the motivational forces common to all students. Teachers will leave the workshop with dozens of proven strategies
