Strong literacy skills are critical in our ever-changing fast-paced society. In our classrooms we have a number of students who have the skills needed to read, but they are disengaged and lack the will to read. This session will focus on igniting the flames, a passion for books in students and then how to take steps to keep the passion burning. This workshop will focus on the work of Dr. Steven Layne using his book Igniting a Passion for Reading.
