GFESC - USING GOOGLE APPS FOR EDUCATION IN THE UPPER ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE LEVEL CLASSROOM

This PD will offer an overview of GAFE applications and extensions that increase teacher efficiency and productivity and prepare students for the 21st century workplace.  We will cover these Google applications: Drive, Classroom, Sheets, Forms, Drawings, Sites, Docs, and Slides.  We will briefly discuss other applications (Hangouts, Calendar, YouTube, and Gmail) that integrate with Classroom to improve teacher/student/parent communication, and will learn to find and use extensions to improve the functionality of GAFE.  Participants will learn how to apply these applications in multiple content areas and with instructional practices such as Project Based Learning, STEM, text annotation, etc.
