This session will focus on various areas related to SLPs.
Service delivery for SLP which would include current methods to provide speech therapy in various settings with a major focus on working with classroom teachers and district curricula. Minor focus on technology.
Matching goals and objectives to data collection to ensure authentic data is being taken in order to monitor progress and drive decision making. Participants are asked to bring sample goals/objectives and data collection strategies to share/problem solve with group.
Using evidence based intervention strategies across the educational environment (including the therapy room, the cafeteria and the playground!) with brief focus on Peer Mediated Instruction and Intervention, Visual Supports, Prompting Strategies, and Reinforcement Assessment and Delivery. Could possibly do a take home task here as well involving visual supports and or reinforcement.
