RISE 3-6 Day 3: 6th Grade, Special Education, and Non-Core Teachers

Day 3 of the RISE 3-6 training is a continuation of the RISE 3-6 training for the 2018-2019 Cohort. All participants who attended the summer sessions for Days 1 and 2 should attend a Day 3 session, as this helps teachers meet the requirements of a pathway for Phase 1 (awareness) of the Science of Reading. This particular date has been established as the date for 6th-grade teachers, special education teachers, and non-core subject teachers.

TESS Components:  1a: Demonstrating Knowledge of Content and Pedagogy, 1e: Desiging Coherent Instruction, and 1f: Designing Student Assessments

Important Session Information:

Participants are asked to bring their professional texts (Fundamentals of Literacy Instruction and Assessment PreK-6, and Words: Integrated Decoding and Spelling Instruction Based on Word Origin and Word Structure) and their journals to the training.

Lunch will be provided.
