WDMESC: Paraprofessional Training- Core Module-Special Healthcare Needs Training
Workshop Description (include source of research):
The purpose of this training provides paraprofessionals with an understanding of the roles and responsibilities, job
description, legal and ethical requirements, and the basics of how to work with students with disabilities. In addition,
laws and rulings that have impacted the students will be covered. This training is adopted by the Arkansas
Department of Education and is a requirement for paraprofessionals who are assigned to work with special education
students. This training is the first module of the paraprofessional modules.
