Mission Possible: Define the Target Behavior
This 6-hour training is fundamental to the understanding and implementation of successful data collection and behavior change. The information is derived from nearly 50 years of research on individuals with problem behavior and is based on research in Applied Behavior Analysis. Just as teachers must define the skills and knowledge they teach in academic areas, they must identify the behaviors and expectations they hold for students. When students do not meet those expectations, teachers need to know how to identify behavior replacement behaviors. Defining behavior in observable and measurable terms is a prerequisite for measuring behavior and changing behavior.
