NEA - Hearing Screening Certification for School Nurses
The purpose of this activity is to enable the learner to increase their knowledge of hearing screening procedures and be able to perform mandated hearing screenings according to Arkansas Code 6-18-701. OBJECTIVES: Explain the importance of hearing screening for the school-aged child. Identify the components of a hearing screening. Apply age-appropriate techniques and procedures. Identify the steps of the reporting process. Demonstrate use of an audiometer. Assess knowledge of hearing screening procedures.
NOTE: Attendees will be required to register in A-Train for this course also.
