NAESC Investigating Minds Want to Know: Basic Behavior Principles - Essentials Training 1

A principle of behavior describes a basic behavior-environment relation that has been demonstrated repeatedly in hundreds, even thousands, of experiments.  In managing classroom behavior and designing interventions, it is critical that teachers understand the basic principles of behavior in order to be effective.  In this 6-hour training, participants will discuss basic principles of behavior.

This is the first of four Essentials Trainings offered by the K-12 Behavior Support Specialists. Essentials Trainings must be completed in sequence. After completion of ALL four Essentials Trainings, participants are eligible to attend more advanced trainings on Instructional and Behavior Strategies and Programming to address moderate problem behaviors. In order to facilitate participation in future BX3 project initiatives, it is recommended that districts form teams and attend the Essentials Trainings.
