SCSC - Grasping Phenomenal Science: Formative Assessment (Pre-AP certification)

What does formative assessment look like in the science classroom? Participants will examine and revise assessment tasks to elicit evidence of student understanding of the three dimensions. Revised tasks will then be evaluated using the ACT Aspire performance level descriptors and other resources. Participation in this session meets the ADE requirement for Pre-Advanced Placement Science (Pre-AP) teacher certification or recertification for middle school, junior high, or high school teachers. TESS components addressed for this workshop include: 1F, 3D, and 3E.

Important Session Information:

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price.
