NWAESC(2095)---Brain and Behavior- Social & Emotional Learning- Part 1



Participants will learn about the triune model of the brain and how it is foundational within the Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) movement, as well as how to use this model to interpret student and adult behaviors. Participants will review and practice classroom strategies to move both teachers and students from their survial and emotional brains to their executive brains. More electronic resources will be provided to further explore executive skill building and to teach students about their brains. SEL Parts 2-5 are recommended, but not required to enroll in this session.

This session is NOT covered under the pd consortium.
