NWAESC(2095)---Safe Spaces - Social and Emotional Learning Part 3



Participants will learn about the benefits and purposes of safe spaces in the classroom including lower disciplinary issues and improved mental health for students and adults. School staff will learn key instruction required to successfully implement these spaces, along with the three and five step objectives of safe spaces from Conscious Discipline® and how to involve parents. Participants will also have the opportunity to see pre-k - 12th grade examples and role play co-regulating with a student in distress. Social and Emotional Learning parts 1 2, 4 and 5 are recommended but not required to enroll in this course.
