NWAESC(2095)---Play Therapy Basics for School Counselors & Educators

This is what we know, Play is Important!  Now, more than ever, in our tech driven lifestyles, play is needed to balance the scales of physical inactivity, and to open up spaces in our brain for problem-solving, organization, and relationship building that only comes through the power of PLAY! Participants will learn the power of using play in therapy and how play is necessary for healthy social, emotional, and physical development of children.  PreK-12 school counselors and educators will gain understanding of basic play therapy and how it can be applied in the school setting.  Participants will have an opportunity to learn and practice play therapy interventions for children of all ages to increase collaboration, connection, and cooperation.

This session is NOT covered under the PD Consortium.
