NWAESC(2095)---Unconscious Bias - Social and Emotional Learning Part 5



Participants will learn about unconscious or implicit bias defined as beliefs, attitudes, and social stereotypes that affect our actions and decisions in an unconscious manner, outside of our awareness. Real world impacts within the public education system will be discussed including issues surrounding discipline, tracking, and climate. Specific strategies from national experts and resources to track and mitigate unconscious bias will explored. Participation in Social and Emotional Learning Parts 1-4 is recommended but not required for enrollment in this session.
