DSC-HSU Engineering in the Elementary Classroom: A Blueprint for STEM Success in grades 3-5



Learn highly engaging engineering activities to teach your students the engineering design process that aligns with the New Arkansas Science and Engineering Standards!  Teachers will participate in hands-on experiences and learn how to engage students in 21st Century Learning Skills such as creativity, critical thinking & problem solving, collaboration and communication while connecting the domain of engineering with language arts and other disciplines.




Important Session Information:


Participants leave with the following book titles: Picture Perfect STEM, Grades 3-5, Clink, 
Making Machines With Springs, Clink, Rosie Revere, Engineer, and Inventor’s Secret.  They will also leave with a classroom STEM kit to get started with engaging students in the engineering and design process. 

Session will be held at The STEM Center at Henderson State University, located at 1049 Henderson Street in Arkadelphia.
