GFESC - STRUCTURED TEACHING FOR SELF-CONTAINED AND EARLY CHILDHOOD CLASSROOMS (TIER 2 INTERVENTION TRAINING)

THIS IS A TWO-DAY WORKSHOP (12 HRS OF PD)

Structured Teaching is a system for organizing student environments, developing appropriate activities, and helping students understand what is expected of them.  There are five major components to structured teaching, including physical organization/visual boundaries, schedules, routines, work systems, and task organization. This module will help participants to: (1) organize and plan a classroom to meet the needs of students, (2) set up the physical structure of a classroom, (3) identify and implement numerous visual supports in the classroom, (4) apply the components of structured work systems, and (5) create and implement task organization to promote independence in the classroom.  The participants will leave with useful tools to be utilized in the classroom.
