DSC ADE Science of Reading Assessor Training



This 2 day training is required for anyone who will evaluate teachers for the proficiency requirements in Act 1063 (The Right to Read Act). During these days, participants will work through rubrics, videos, and scenarios to make determinations about how to score and coach teachers as they work toward proficiency in the practices supported by the science of reading. This training will cover K-3 and 4-6 content areas as well as K-12 special education.

Prerequisites for attendance:
Must be a licensed administrator and legally able to evaluate teachers
Must have attended every day of phase I of a specific proficiency pathway
