SCSC-School-Based Identification of Dyslexia: The Very Basics



This course focuses on the implementation of Act 1294 and school-based identification of students with characteristics of dyslexia in Arkansas.This course will prepare educators to be informed members of the school-based teams making decisions regarding the identification of students exhibiting the characteristics of dyslexia for placement in dyslexia intervention programs.The course will cover a review of the current definition of dyslexia, the core principles of dyslexia identification, case studies, and step-by-step procedures for analyzing assessment data.

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee.
