SCSC-Addressing the Challenges of Teaching Math to Students with Dyscalculia and/or Dyslexia



“Help, I’m drowning and all you can do is describe the water.” This session will do more than just describe the water. Come prepared to be engaged in session activities designed to raise your awareness of Dyscalculia (learning disability in math) and Dyslexia (learning disability in reading) while providing ideas/strategies to teach math to students with one or both of these learning disabilities. 

TESS components addressed for this workshop include: 3B, 3C, and 3D.

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price.
