Teachers will explore instructional math routines for grades 3-5 in the areas of fluency and procedures from conceptual understanding. Having clearly defined routines for interactions and discourse supports students’ engagement in mathematical practices and their learning of mathematics content. Routines are an essential part of mathematics classrooms because:
