Choosing Mathematical Tasks with the ACT Aspire in mind
NCTM’s Effective Mathematics Teaching Practice #2:  Implement tasks that promote reasoning and problem solving is critical for ambitious teaching. It is critical for students to have instructional experiences that prepare them for problem solving and the rigor of ACT Aspire. In this session, teachers will choose tasks utilizing essential tested skills and DOK levels outlined by the ACT ASPIRE Performance Level Descriptors and Exemplars.
