This full day training is designed for special educators who are new to the field or need refresher on due process. The focus will be on compliance with both federal and state statutes, rules and regulations with particular attention to timelines and completing Arkansas' due process forms. The following areas will be addressed:
* child find,
*from referral to evaluation (including temporary placements with IEP),
*re-evaluation procedures,
*annual reviews,
*separate programming conferences,
*discipline-related conferences,
*transfer reviews,
*EC transitions.
