OUR Yoga for Kids

The benefits of yoga practice for children and teens is a relatively new area of research. Studies suggest a link between yoga practice and positive child and adolescent outcomes.2 Researchers have studied yoga in school and out-of-school settings. Special groups of children, like those with autism, Attention Deficit Disorder-Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD-ADHD), eating disorders, anxiety, and asthma, have been the focus of some studies, while others have focused on typical children. Participants will learn yoga techniques to use with students to enhance physical activity time.

Each participant will receive:

  • ?6.5 hours of on-site training by two Registered Yoga Teachers and 4-H Yoga for Kids Instructor Trainers
  • ?4-H Yoga for Kids Program Guide
  • ?4-H Yoga for Kids DVD
  • ?4-H Yoga for Kids Posters (3)
  • ?A yoga mat
