SCSC-Middle School (5-8) - #ARKidsCanCode: Discover Computer Science



Do you feel like navigating the computer science standards in your classroom feels much like a MAZE, where it’s easy to lose your direction. Discover how to turn that crazy MAZE into an awesome ADVENTURE! Come to be a part of an A-’MAZ’-ING learning experience where we will delve into cross-curricular computer science concepts spanning math, literacy, science, and more. Join other teachers, leaders, and curriculum coordinators as we discover the twist and turns of embedded computer science standards. Leave with A-’MAZ’-ING ways to explore computer science within your classroom and tools to help you become an influential part of the Computer Science Initiative.  Participants will need to bring a computer or laptop. TESS components addressed in this workshop include: 1e, 3c, 4e

Important Session Information:


For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. All other participants including nurses and paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (the address tied to escWorks). In the event that an individual cannot attend the session for which he/she registered, it is the individual’s responsibility to cancel using his/her escWorks shoebox. Cancellations may take place up to the day before the session(s). All "no-shows" will be invoiced the full price.
