Are you positive that your negative space is exciting? In this workshop, we will experiment with some new ways to teach positive and negative space to your art students that will make them wild about space! We'll take a look at how Malaysian artist, Tang Yau Hoong, turns negative space into the positive feature of his work (but then is it stil negative space?) When you leave this workshop, you will have a new way to teach this element of art, and have created examples to use in your classroom, whether you teach elementary, middle or high school art.
