Free workshop through your COOP at the Delta Gateway Museum in Blytheville this summer. The topic would be archeology and I would demonstrate archeological lesson plans that would align with what is on display in the museum so that the teachers could eventually bring their classes to the museum after doing some lessons at their schools. It would be geared for upper elementary and middle school STEAM/literacy/social studies teachers and can cover 6 PD hours. They’d have to bring their own lunch but I would supply all the materials and Leslie Hester, director of the museum, already offered up her nice big classroom in the museum for us to spend the day. There will be interdisciplinary, hands-on demonstrations that will engage the teachers, who would in turn bring it back to their students.
