GREC- Planning in the Secondary Literacy Classroom-Grades 7-12
Teachers will examine ways to build instructional units that are student-centered and skills-focused. information covered during this workshop includes, but is not limited to, the following: book clubs, independent reading, whole-class novel studies, mentor texts, conferencing, cooperative and collaborative instruction, and interactive teaching. Additionally, teachers will revisit the 7-12 Arkansas ELA Standards and examine the progression of skills.
