DSC Graphics Editing - GIMP: Photoshop's FREE Cousin

Do you teach a course that has a graphic design component, but can’t get anyone to foot the bill for Adobe? GIMP is a free, open source graphics editing program that is a wonderful alternative to Photoshop for schools and students that need the skills without the commitment of the price tag. We will discuss the basics of install, program features, resources, tutorials, and potential lesson ideas during this workshop. Bring project ideas or graphic needs and we will work together to use GIMP in a viable way that will meet your needs. The workshop will take place in a computer lab but you have the option of bringing your own laptop (you will need administrative rights to install GIMP).
Important Session Information:

There is a $50.00 registration fee for participants outside the Dawson Co-op area. (Please click PO and check out to register for the workshop, if you are one of Dawson Co-op schools.)
